The New England Regional Turfgrass Foundation wishes to thank everyone involved in helping to make the 17th Annual turfgrass conference and show another grand success! We especially like to thank all exhibitors, sponsors and attendees for your support in 2014. Also, we were all well served by everyone who participated in this year's speaker program. We thank everyone who took the time out of their busy schedules to participate in our 17th conference and show, and for their dedication to our industry in 2014.
Some of the highlights included: There was record interest in our 9 Monday Seminars. Tuesday's attendance was almost as overflowing as the USGA's program was full of information. We had another great response by exhibitors donating many items to our live auction that generated more than $21,000 for turfgrass research. A turfgrass professional, David Mellor, gave a fantastic presentation as our featured speaker on his life and career experiences. We hope you were able to get your picture with the 2013 World Series Trophy? Who ever thought that opportunity would have come with your show registration for Tuesday! Over the four days, more than 64 hours of turfgrass education topics were discussed on many different topics. The trade show was again represented by a wide and diverse assembly of turfgrass management products to meet just about all needs of turfgrass managers. We hope you found something at the show, whether it be a new product, a suggestion, some new technique, a new contact or maybe just a theory that you could add to your arsenal for the upcoming growing season that will help you.
Good luck with all your efforts as we approach the long awaited spring! See you in January of 2015! That is right... our show dates for 2015 are January 26th-29th. It will be our first time to be in the month of January. Though it will be in the dead of winter, no one in New England will be thinking much about turf, no one except those in Providence where turf will be rock'n!
